Pueblo Feast Days & Events Calendar

NOTE: Some pueblos may be closed to visitors. Please call numbers provided on "more" page to check the status of their feast days and visitor access.

There are 19 Pueblos around Northern New Mexico and each observe sacred ceremonial Feast Days and Religious Events. The Native people generously allow respectful outsiders to attend some of these events throughout the year. Please be sure to observe all Pueblo Rules of Etiquette when visiting Native American villages. If you're not sure what the rules are, please inquire at the Tourism Offices for each Pueblo. Zozobra - Burn Him!

WHEN: Friday September 4th, 2026 (always the Friday of Labor Day Weekend) Tix go on Sale July 4th.

The burning of the 50 foot-tall effigy known as Zozobra, a.k.a Old Man Gloom, began in 1924 and has become an annual tradition for Santa Feans to burn away "doom and gloom" in time for fall.
