Our outdoor space is a 1-acre southwestern horticulture garden called Earthworks which hosts a greenhouse, a music plaza, a giant sand pit, an adobe playhouse and, a traditional southwestern adobe cook house called an Horno.
The toddler area is designed especially for the young ones to have a safe, padded place to crawl, climb and explore movement, puzzles, music and early social skills. Kids of all ages enjoy face painting, a dramatic play area with costumes and puppets, ball runs, and a magnet table.
Animal lovers can pet our various critters. We have a feeding viewing for our corn snake on Sundays at 3, and daily feedings everyday for the rest of our animals. Come hang out and learn about our animals on the grass!
Facilitated and hands-on sessions are regularly scheduled. This includes Wee-Wednesdays for toddlers, Seeds and Sprouts on Thursdays, and Open Art Studio on Fridays. Come run our model train set, make scenery and learn about our Model Rail Road Club! Please check the above website link for more details and ongoing programming.
