Black Mesa grows a variety of grapes, including Pinot Grigio, Syrah, Montepulciano, and Riesling. All other grapes are brought ot the winery from different vineyards across New Mexico. Owner Jerry Burd says of the extensive range, “I can’t make up my mind. I have a palate that enjoys many different styles of wines and so do our customers.”
Try their popular authentically Northern New Mexican Hard Cider. Choose from eight cider flavors, “Raspberry, Blackberry Basil, Prickly Pear, Pumpkin Spice, Blood Orange, Hops, Wild Cherry, and Black Flamingo.” 12oz bottles and 32oz growlers.
All wines and ciders are made at the winery using only New Mexico grapes and apples.
DAILY TASTINGS: $15 pp. 5 wines/ciders of your choice. You may also purchase wines & ciders by the glass and sit in our patio area and enjoy. (Prices vary by selection).

Petroglyphs & Labyrinth are free to the public. Sip and walk! Petroglyph images range from 100 years to 1500 years old. Each rock is marked by a small Kokopeli figure. There is a white quartz rock on top of each petroglyph rock. It can be walked in about 15 minutes. It also goes by the Montepulciano and the Pinot Grigio vineyards.
Labyrinth is located behind the winery and along part of the Petroglyph Trail. It can be walked in 15 minutes or longer, depending on the person and their thoughts along the way.
